Caller Notes app for iPhone
In short
The app collects no personal data. It has no server, no ads and no analytics, and shares nothing with other users or third parties.
What the app stores
Phone numbers, notes, ratings, tags, reminders, photos, documents and voice recordings that you enter yourself. This data is stored:
- on your device,
- text data (numbers, notes, ratings, tags, reminders) also in your private iCloud storage, so it comes back when you change iPhones. Only you can access it, through your Apple ID.
Photos, documents and voice recordings stay on the device only.
Caller identification
To show your note on an incoming call, the app hands the list of your numbers and notes to iOS (Call Blocking & Identification). The list stays on the device. The app cannot access your call history or the content of calls.
Permissions
- Microphone and speech recognition – only when you tap to record a voice note. Transcription runs on the device when iOS supports it.
- Contacts – optional, only to warn that a number is already in Contacts (the note isn't shown for those calls). Contacts are never stored or sent anywhere.
- Photos – only photos you pick yourself.
- Notifications – only for the call-back reminders you set.
Deleting data
Delete numbers and notes right in the app. Uninstalling the app removes the data on the device; remove the iCloud copy in Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Storage.
